The best way to learn is by doing, and the best way to test your skills is by practicing. That is what Raíces Cyber Org is all about! We are committed to promoting experiential learning and offering leadership opportunities to help our students develop competitive skills in Cybersecurity.
When you set up a RCYC Chapter you will gain access to all of these opportunities!
HOW TO START AN RCYC CHAPTER?
These are the requirements to start a chapter:
Select an Adult (21+) who can serve as an advisor of the RCYC Club.
Get the endorsement of the school or organizational leader.
Identify youth in the following roles:
President
Treasurer
Secretary
Once you have identified these requirements, please register your RCYC Chapter (Club).

Starting a Raíces Cyber Youth Corps (RCYC) Chapter at Your School:
Ever thought about bringing RCYC to your school? We're here to help you make it happen! Starting an RCYC chapter can bring a whole new world of unforgettable experiences for students and teachers. Interested? Check out the steps below to get started:
Phase 1: Planning and Approval
Fill out this form
Secure Administrative Approval:
Schedule a meeting with the school administrator.
Present the program's benefits for students and the school.
Obtain formal written approval to establish an RCYC chapter.
Designate Committed Chapter Advisor:
Select a teacher or staff member committed to student development to serve as the Chapter Advisor.
Provide the advisor with program information and resources.
Phase 2: Registration and Membership
Complete Chapter Registration:
Access the official RCYC Chapter Registration Form via [website link].
Accurately complete all required fields.
Submit the registration form with necessary documentation.
*Note: If a separate school registration is required, complete that as well.
Review Minimum Membership:
Review and confirm the minimum student membership requirements for chapter activation.
Recruit Chapter Members:
Implement student recruitment strategies.
Maintain accurate membership records.
Phase 3: Chapter Setup and Integration
Define Chapter Structure:
Conduct an initial chapter meeting to elect student officers.
Establish officer roles and responsibilities.
Develop chapter guidelines.
Create Meeting Schedule:
Establish a consistent meeting schedule.
Communicate the schedule to members.
Reserve meeting space and technology.
Plan RCYC Chapter Activities:
Determine how RCYC activities will be delivered within the chapter's structure (e.g., as part of existing club meetings, after-school sessions).
Utilize the provided RCYC resources to facilitate hands-on cybersecurity learning.
